Falling
by David Hachmeister
October should have been spent at Oktoberfest. Or maybe it was. It certainly wasn't spent making stamps. Sales fell by more than 21 percent. Interestingly enough, small shops were again able to eke out a small gain of four percent. Other products continue to recover smartly—up 24 percent. We need to state again that due to the composition of the companies in the group, stamps have been under-reported and other products over-reported for the past year or more. Every time people come in or drop out, our base numbers change. If we can keep this group together for a few years, we think the anomalies will work themselves out.
